Six top current and former White House officials are reportedly being eyed for interviews with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of investigators.

Six top current and former White House officials are reportedly being eyed for interviews with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team investigating Russia's role in the 2016 election and potential ties with the Trump campaign.
According to the Washington Post, which broke the story Friday, the list of advisers includes interim communications director Hope Hicks, former press secretary Sean Spicer, former chief of staff Reince Priebus, spokesperson Josh Raffel, White House counsel Don McGahn, and his subordinate James Burnham.
The Post says, based on inside sources, that these aides are of particular interest to the Mueller probe because they were likely present during White House discussions about former FBI director James Comey's firing and former national security adviser Michael Flynn who had been in contact with the Russian ambassador during the campaign.
The news comes just one day after CNN reported that Mueller’s team is interested in speaking with people who were present on Air Force One during the drafting of the statement explaining Donald Trump Jr.'s 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer.
The report goes on to say, “Mueller's questions could go to the issue of intent and possible efforts to conceal information during an obstruction of justice investigation.”
The president, meanwhile, has continued to deny that his campaign worked with Russia to sway the 2016 election outcome.
