US motorists are forming huge queues as they wait in line at petrol stations across Florida as Hurricane Irma moves towards the mainland.

The video, captured on September 5, shows American motorists lining up to fill their vehicles as part of their preparations for the Category 5 storm.

All counties in Florida have declared a state of emergency.
