It’s hard to imagine that it’s been 20 years since the tragic death of Princess Diana… and her sons, along with Duchess Kate paid tribute with a visit to her memorial garden at Kensington Palace.

The trio took a rainy stroll on the eve of the anniversary in the gardens that were created in Diana’s memory. A team of six gardeners and a number of volunteers spent 18 weeks planting white roses and tulips… allowing the princes to pay tribute to the life and work of their beloved mother.

Diana was only 36 years old when was killed in a Paris car crash… but her memory has lived on.

Born in 1961, she famously married Prince Charles in 1981 with an entire world watching… and she was praised for her volunteer work, making appearances at hospitals, schools, and other facilities.

Even in death she remains one of the most popular and influential figures from the Royal Family and she was once described as the world’s most photographed woman.

Her sons have commissioned two documentaries to mark the 20th anniversary of her death.
