Breweries Switch To Canning Water For Hurricane Harvey Victims
  • 7 years ago
Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors have teamed up with the Red Cross to deliver over 200,000 cans of drinking water to Hurricane Harvey victims.

Anheuser-Busch actually shut down beer productions at its Georgia Brewery, in order to use its machines to can emergency drinking water. This isn't the first time breweries have done this - Anheuser-Busch delivered 50,000 cans of water earlier this year to a town in Mississippi that was hit by a tornado.

The Category 4 Hurricane Harvey has ravaged the Texas coastline, bringing 130 mph winds and over 40 inches of rain. Clean drinking water will be needed long after the storm stops — so Texans may need these breweries to keep the cans coming.
