Spicer Finally Got To Meet The Pope

Sean Spicer was recently able to meet with Pope Francis, according to a report by America Magazine.

During President Trump’s visit with the pope in May, then-White House press secretary Sean Spicer was noticeably absent from a group meeting despite his reported desire to meet the pontiff.
Months later, Spicer has been been able to do so.
According to a report by the Jesuit magazine America on Tuesday, "A group of legislators and politicians from around the world gathered in Italy this week for a meeting of the International Catholic Legislators Network, where they were received by Pope Francis at the Vatican. Among those gathered was Sean Spicer..."
Back in May, while the White House communications department was represented by Trump loyalists Hope Hicks and Dan Scavino during the meeting, Spicer--a practicing Catholic--was reportedly left behind due to strict space limitations.
However, according to the Washington Post, "at the time, some White House watchers speculated that Trump purposely left out his press secretary, who was on shaky ground. And many commentators said they felt bad for Spicer, who attends Mass regularly and would have been deeply moved to meet the pope."
An inside source weighed in on his absence by telling CNN, “Wow. That's all he wanted.”
Spicer, who resigned from his position in late July, has been reportedly assisting current press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders with transition efforts till the end of August.
