A crucial error made by the police in Haryana led to the violence that erupted following the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim. The Haryana Home department has now placed DCP Ashok Kumar under suspension allegedly for this blunder he made. Everyone was baffled as to how so many people turned up at Panchkula. In the order ahead of the court verdict the DCP did not speak about the assembly of persons. It only said that people are barred from carrying weapons.
