So, Amy Schumer was paid 11 million for her Netflix special… and people were upset – because Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were paid 20 million for theirs.
And while she’s spoken about equal pay she clarified her stance on her Instagram page. She said that women deserve to be paid the same as men… but she DOESN’T deserve equal pay to Chris and Dave.
She called them legends and two of the greatest comics of all time… and even though she’s been selling out arena the last couple of years – something no female comic has ever done… she may have asked more than Netflix’s initial offer but the reports of her demanding or insisting equal pay isn’t true.
Schumer’s pal Jennifer Lawrence opened up about the pay gap in a 2015 essay for Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letter… and Patricia Arquette used her best actress speech at the 2015 Oscars for equal pay.
