Trump Tweets: Bannon Will Be A 'Smart New Voice' At Breitbart, 'Fake News Needs The Competition'

President Trump tweeted on Saturday that Steve Bannon will be a "smart new voice" at Breitbart News.

For the second time on Saturday, President Trump took to Twitter and posted about Steve Bannon, whose departure from the White House as chief strategist was announced Friday.
"Steve Bannon will be a tough and smart new voice at @BreitbartNews...maybe even better than ever before," Trump tweeted. "Fake News needs the competition!"
In another tweet earlier in the day, Trump wrote, "I want to thank Steve Bannon for his service. He came to the campaign during my run against Crooked Hillary Clinton - it was great! Thanks S."
Hours after reports surfaced on Friday of the adviser's ouster from the White House, Breitbart News made an announcement about Bannon's return to the conservative media outlet as executive chairman.
“The populist-nationalist movement got a lot stronger today,” Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow commented on Bannon's new role. “Breitbart gained an executive chairman with his finger on the pulse of the Trump agenda.”
