BAJAUR AGENCY: At least two people killed and 25 others injured as a result of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in Bajaur Agency’s Chaharmang area on Friday.
According to initial reports, quoting political administration officials, the blast occurred in Nawagai Tehsil, which targeted labourers. The injured have been shifted to the tribal region’s Headquarter Hospital in Khar.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and search operation has been underway.
The incident took place after span of two days when DG Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Wednesday had said the armed forces have achieved 95 per cent objective of the ongoing Operation Khyber-4, launched under Operation Raddul Fasaad in the Rajgal valley of Khyber Agency, another tribal agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
