中国・内陸部の四川省にある世界遺産「九寨溝」近くで８日夜に起きた大地震で、これまでに１９人が死亡、２４７人がけがをしている。

　四川省にある世界遺産・九寨溝の近くで起きた地震では建物の一部倒壊や落石など被害が広範囲にわたっている。中国メディアによると、これまでに観光客８人を含む１９人が死亡し、２４７人がけがをしている。

　落石や道路の陥没などで道路が寸断されているほか、余震の影響などで救援活動も難航している。地元政府は九寨溝エリアにいた約３万８０００人の観光客の大部分の安全確認ができたとしているが、１０００人ほどが九寨溝から出られず救援を待っているという。

　また、中国西部の新疆ウイグル自治区でも日本時間の９日午前８時２７分、マグニチュード６．６の地震があった。この地震で、古い家屋など１４２棟が倒壊し、３２人がケガをし、２人が重傷だという。
