A top official on Sunday said that the deadline for filing income tax return or ITRs for the financial year 2016-17 will not be extended beyond July 31, 2017. The official said, "The last date for filing of ITRs remains 31 July. There are no plans to extend this deadline. The department has already received over 2 crore returns filed electronically. ಆದಾಯ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಪಾವತಿಗೆ ಜುಲೈ 31, 2017 ಕೊನೆ ದಿನಾಂಕವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಐಟೀ ರಿಟರ್ನ್ಸ್ ಕೊನೆ ದಿನಾಂಕ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಆದಾಯ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮೂಲಗಳು ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ, 2016-17ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದಾಯ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಪಾವತಿ ಮಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಳಂಬವಾದರೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ವಿತ್ತ ಸಚಿವ ಅರುಣ್ ಜೇಟ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ ಬಜೆಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ ಹೊಸ ನೀತಿ ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
