by Jeff DonlanProfessional cliff divers flipped and twisted nearly 90 feet into the Adriatic Sea on the latest stop of Red Bull’s Cliff diving World Series in Italy.Italy’s Alessandro De Rose wowed an audience of around 50,000 spectators and went on to win the men’s event ahead of Americans David Colturi and Andy Jones, who finished second and third respectively.Meanwhile, Australia’s Rhiannan Iffland won the women’s event, ahead of second placed Jacqueline Valente of Brazil and Germany’s Anna Bader who finished third.Colombia’s Orlando Duque took over at the top of the overall standings from Britain’s Gary Hunt, who failed to make the final round.Fourteen men and eight women competed in the diving series, which wraps in October.
