SCHAFFHAUSEN, SWITZERLAND — More than 100 police officers from both Switzerland and Germany are hunting for a man who attacked an insurance company with a chainsaw in a Swiss town on Monday.

The attacker has been identified as 51-year-old Franz Wrousis. He had been living in the woods for at least a couple of weeks and is described as "aggressive, dangerous and mentally conspicuous," according to Reuters.

In a photo released by Schaffhausen police, Wrousis is seen carrying a black duffel with a chainsaw inside. He then went on a rampage inside the CSS insurance office in the old town of Schaffhausen at around 10:30 a.m. At least five were injured and two with serious injuries.

Wrousis fled the scene before police arrived the scene at around 10:39 a.m. Police said he is still armed with the chainsaw and remain missing.

Police said the attack was not related to terrorism but it was clearly against the people at the insurance company. The exact motive is still under investigation.

Schaffhausen is located on the northern border with Germany. It has a population of 36,000 people.
