Scaramucci Threatens To ‘Fire Everybody’ On His Team If Leaks Don’t Stop

The Trump administration’s newly named communications director has threatened to “fire everybody” if leaks continue to emerge from the White House.
Anthony Scaramucci made the comment on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday during a lengthy attack on leaks where he called the behavior “very unprofessional and very harmful.”
He also said that the people around the president who are revealing private conversations are “actually un-American, they’re doing an injustice to the institution of the American presidency.”
When host John Dickerson asked how leakers on the team would be handled, Scaramucci said, “They’re gonna get fired. I’m just gonna make it very very clear….I’m not gonna make any prejudgements about anybody on that staff. If they want to stay on that staff, they’re gonna stop leaking.”
President Trump himself has long been outspoken about the leaks being made to the media; in April, he tweeted, “The real story turns out to be SURVEILLANCE and LEAKING! Find the leakers.”
And Saturday, he blasted leaks in two separate tweets--one about his power to issue pardons and another about Attorney General Jeff Sessions where Trump declares, “These illegal leaks, like Comey's, must stop!”
However, according to a Hill report from May, putting an end to the behavior may be a challenge because there are so many potential sources across the State Department, CIA, and other intelligence bureaus that are privy to private information.
Leaks are also believed to have come from within Trump’s own staff as well as from critics within the government.
