Former Australian cricketer Dav Whatmore reacted to Virat Kumble row with surprise. Whatmore cited out that there must have been some miscommunication on part of the coach and the captain which led to such a situation. The former Aussie cricketer has coached all over the Indian subcontinent including teams like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and also Zimbabwe. The ties between Indian captain Virat Kohli and Whatmore go back to 2008 during the famous U-19 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur. Whatmore was the designated coach when Kohli led the young side to victory. Whatmore believes Shastri has got some pretty good generals and wouldn’t want to tinker much with prominent changes.
