Famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin, most known for the Apollo 11 moon landing, is raising money for future trips. The 87-year-old recently held a fundraising gala at the Kennedy Space Center on the 48th anniversary of the moon landing, raising a total of $190,000. The money is for Aldrin's nonprofit space education foundation, ShareSpace Foundation. Aldrin and NASA believe the people will be able to land on Mars by 2040. The space agency is developing the Space Launch System and the Orion spacecraft to help send Americans to deep space.
