Britain's young royals begin Poland and Germany tour

Britain’s Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in Warsaw for a four-day trip that will take in Poland and Germany.

The royal couple, who’re accompanied by their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will visit the Warsaw Rising Museum which commemorates a doomed 1944 battle against Nazi occupiers in which thousands died.

“Their Royal Highnessess will take time during the tour to acknowledge the complex 20the century history of each country,” Kensington Palace tweeted, adding that they “hope to meet as many people as possible during the tour.”

They will also visit the Solidarity museum in Gdansk and meet Lech Walesa, the icon of Poland’s anti-communist struggle and the movement’s former leader.

In Germany, they will visit the Berlin Holocaust Memorial.
