More than 400 people have been charged in massive health care fraud takedown

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced today that over 400 people have been arrested in what he called the largest health care fraud takedown in the history of the United States. The suspects in question were responsible for $1.3 billion in fraudulent transactions, with around 120 of the suspects involved in crimes related to opioids. The nation is in the midst of a crisis. Opioid abuse destroys lives. Some doctors were writing more prescriptions than entire hospitals. McCabe also said that 29 FBI field offices and over 300 agents were involved in the takedown.
