Footage has emerged of a snow-covered road in Lassen Volcanic National Park in California, USA on July 10.

"While much of California endures triple-digit heat, crews in Lassen Volcanic National Park are coping with a much cooler challenge: snow," the filmer wrote.

"As of April 1, 2017, winter storms dumped 243.5 inches (over 20 feet) of snow on Mount Lassen, the southern most volcano in the Cascade Range."

"Casual hikers who do not have experience or the equipment for trekking in snow are being discouraged from hiking to the top of the 10,463 foot peak, but there are many other trails in the park that can be used," he added.
