Twitter is finally doing something about trolls and all the instigators running rampant on the social media platform. The company rolled out new options to mute mute notifications from newly registered accounts, people you don’t follow, and people who don’t follow you. These can be configured in the Notifications -> Settings -> Advanced Filters section of Twitter. Many pundits have called on Twitter to deal with its abuse problem for sometime now, but today's changes appear to be a temporary fix, as opposed to something more permanent like exterminating trolls completely.
