US rejects Russian-Chinese proposal to halt military drills amid rising tensions with Pyongyang

Washington has rejected a joint Russian-Chinese proposal, aimed at de-escalating the situation on the Korean Peninsula. The plan called for North Korea to halt its missile testing and for the U.S. and South Korea to stop its military drills in the region.
