Emma Stone Had Male Co-Stars Take Pay Cuts

Emma Stone just revealed that some of her male co-stars have taken pay cuts so they can have equal pay.
Yep, the Oscar winner told OUT Magazine that some of her fellow actors have graciously accepted lower fees so they can have parity with them and because they think it’s fair.
Coincidentally enough, the news came while she was promoting her new film Battle of the Sexes… and she added that it’s not something often discussed, and getting equal pay is going to require people to selflessly say ‘that’s what’s fair.’
However, she does admit that she feels lucky to be paid the same as her male counterparts.
Although… she hesitates to use the word “lucky”.
Emma stated that she knows there could be other factors besides gender that contributes to pay disparity because their industry ebbs and flows and it DOES matter how much one brings into the box office. But she does feel uncomfortable talking to her agent about it all.
