Civilians fleeing Raqqa face dire conditions

Civilians fleeing fighting in Raqqa said they feared for their lives and starved as their homes became the centre of the battleground between Islamic State and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Raqqa has been under Islamic State control since 2014, but the SDF launched its assault to capture Islamic State's de facto capital in Syria last month.
