DC minimum wage goes up by a dollar

Minimum wage workers in DC will now earn $12.50 an hour. The payment boost is part of a plan to gradually increase the minimum wage to $15 by the year 2020. Tipped workers will also receive a pay raise from $2.77 to $3.33 per hour. DC Mayor Muriel Bowser
