Pinion P1.18 gear skipping

My Pinion P1.18 gearbox was sent back to Pinion because it skipped gears - apparently a known defect. I got it back, reinstalled it in my velomobile, and it's still doing it. In fact, it's worse than ever.

Sadly, all I can advise to prospective buyers at this point is this: stay the hell away from the P1.18. My experience with it has been mostly negative - and I'm a patient person who's willing to work things out. At the price this gearbox sells for, I really feel let down by the company that makes it :(
