John Paul Vaathil Thurakkunnu. Deepak, a discovery of Vineeth Srinivasan,one of the promising young stars of Malayalam cinema, essays a lead role for the first time, as John Paul. Deepak has done memorable roles in Thattathin Marayathu (2011) and Thira (2013). He is well-known among cinephiles as the firebrand comrade(Sakhav Manoj) in TM.

Filmed in the high-range areas of Kerala ,JPVT has a highlight free-run sequence shot in the busy Pambanar market, choreographed by leading Tamil fight masters Anb-Arivu.
Written and directed by Chandrahasan, JPVT has a young and fresh team, both cast and crew.

Inspired from a short story by Punathil Kunjabdulla, John Paul Vaathil Thurakkunnu is an emotional thriller with action-filled moments. The story follows the life of John Paul, a simple village youth, who turns up for an interview and gets drawn into a web of deceit and revenge.

Rest of the cast includes newcomer Darshana, Sudip Joshy, Shruthi Menon, Vishnu Raghav, P Balachandran, Nirmal Benny and Madhu.
