Rimi Tomy is a playback singer in Malayalam and Tamil. Her debut was in the film Meesa Madhavan, directed by Lal Jose.[1] Her first Song was 'Chingamasam VannuChernnal'.She has also anchored a number of television shows. At present, she is judging a music show in asianet and anchoring Onum Onum Moonu on Mazhavil Manorama,Rhythm on Kairali TV and Sunfeast Delishus Star Singer on Asianet.[2][3] She also acted in the film 5 Sundarikal.She has acted in many advertisements.She has sung not only in films but also in albums and for stage programmes worldwide.She has judged many reality shows of different genres.She has sung more than 100 songs in films itself.She has acted not only in 5 Sundarikal but also appeared in the song sequences of films like Kaaryasthan, 916 and so on.
Alleging that playback singer Rimi Tomy insulted her during a public performance, a Thuvvur resident served a legal notice on the singer demanding compensation and an apology.
The complainant Vilasini of Poolakkal in Thuvvur said Rimi while performing at the stage show as part of Nilambur Pattulsavam, invited her to stage by calling the Saritha Nair of Nilambur.
