OK Kanmani, the upcoming movie by ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam, had its trailer release on Sunday which has created a buzz on social media. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead roles.
From the trailer it looks like the film is an urban take on relationships. Dulquer Salman as Adi impresses with his chocolate boy looks while Nithya Menen as Tara has a piercing smile that brings freshness the film. The sparkling chemistry between the lead pair is unavoidable. The film also strongly reminds us of Mani Ratnam's 2000 hit film Alaipayuthey (Saathiya in Hindi) with its train sequences.
The film is written, directed and produced by Mani Ratnam. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Leela Samson, Ramya Subramaniam in lead roles. Like all Mani Ratnam's recent movies, AR Rehman is the music director of OK Kanmani and the trailer music is catchy. PC Sreeram's trademark soft frames cinematography is evident in the beautiful shots that capture Mumbai's famous trains and rains. The film is slated for an April 2015 release.
