1418 candles lit: Russia commemorates 75th anniversary of Nazi invasion of Soviet Union

June 22 marks exactly 75 years ago since the start of the Great Patriotic War. On that day in 1941, Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union in what was to become the deadliest part of the Second World War.
