The 2016 presidential election changed Jackson Faw. Faw, 57, had been a lifelong Republican, casting his first vote for Ronald Reagan and supporting John Kasich in the 2016 primaries. Faw has since dedicated his free time to working on Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff’s run for representative in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District. Mic followed Jackson in the days leading up to, and after, the special election to understand what led him to change his mind and how his story sheds light on the current political climate in the U.S.
