To some, tarantulas can be creepy and terrifying or cue arachnophobia. But in Cambodia, they are fried and served as a traditional treat by street vendors. The protein became an integral part of the country’s diet in the 1970’s, during the Khmer Rouge Rule when millions were starving. The flavor is described as crunchy and salty with a hint of sweetness. Would you taste this Cambodian delicacy?
