Ramya had been accused of being the reason for Ambarish's drop out from the ministerial cabinet. There were also massive protests against her in Mandya by Ambarish followers, but the news was however negated by Ambarish himself. However, there are doubts that Ramya might take over as the Minister in charge of Mandya and the fact that she is renovating and converting her house in Mandya into a residence with office has only strengthened the doubt.
