जीएसटी को लागू करने के लिए 30 जून की रात से ही कार्यक्रम शुरू हो जाएगा और यह कार्यक्रम 1 जुलाई को शाम तक चलेगा । साथ ही वित्तमंत्री ने जानकारी दी कि अब किसी भी हालत में जीएसटी को लागू करने के तारीख आगे नहीं बढायी जाएगी। जीएसटी लागू होने के बाद शुरू के महीनों में सरकार थोड़ी नरमी से पेश आएगी। जीएसटी लागू होने के शुरूआती महीनों में एन्फोर्सिंग लॉ फॉर वायलेशन को लेकर सरकार नरमी बरतेगी। रेवेन्यू सेक्रेटरी हंसमुक अढिया ने जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि सरकार इस बात का ध्यान रखेगी कि रिटर्न फाइल करते समय ये गलती अनजाने में की गई है या कोई टैक्स चोरी करने की कोशिश कर रहा है। अगर ये गलती अनजाने में हुई तो सरकार शुरू के 6 महीने में पेनल्टी में छूट देगी।
