Poll finds Americans inclined to believe James Comey over Trump
  • 7 years ago
A new CBS poll has shed light on America's thoughts regarding President Trump and fired FBI director James Comey. In the poll, which surveyed both Democrats and Republicans, 36 percent of people feel Trump is doing a good job running the country, to go with 63 percent who disapprove of how Trump has handled the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election. 57 percent are more inclined to believe former FBI Director James Comey. The poll was conducted via landlines and cell phones from June 15 to June 18, with a random sample of 1,117 adults from around the country. The poll comes on the heels of Senate testimony from Comey and Attorney General Jeff Sessions regarding the former's firing and alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
