Second round of French parliamentary election begins
  • 7 years ago
The second round of the French parliamentary elections has begun. French President Emmanuel Macron's party Republic on the Move (LREM) is expected to win a large majority. Even though LREM is only a year old some polls predict it will secure up to 80% of seats. Marine Le Pen's Front National is predicted to win only between one and six seats. Turnout for the election has been at a record low after months of campaigning and voting.
