We delved into her roots as an artist and asked about her hesitation to go solo. “It was so scary . . . I think that psychologically I thought I needed somebody who I felt was more worthy of stardom to be next to me, that I could support.”

We also asked Lizzo to break down the meaning behind her latest EP 'Coconut Oil.' “I really so badly wanted to sing to women who looked like me . . . so ‘Coconut Oil’ the song came from that.”
