Ariana Grande Named 'Manchester's First Honorary Citizen'

Ariana Grande can add a pretty special title to her resume: the first honorary citizen of Manchester England.

That’s right, the singer has been bestowed the honor in the aftermath of the city’s May 22nd terror attack, for her many great selfless acts and demonstrations of community spirit.

The city council leader said that it seems like a fitting moment to update the way they recognize those who make noteworthy contributions to the life and success of their city.
And Ariana Grande exemplified how to respond to a terrible event: with love and courage rather than hatred and fear. He also said that many people probabaly consider her an honorary Mancunian.

A suicide bomber killed 22 people outside of Grande’s Manchester Arena concert on May 22nd… and she returned to the city to stage a benefit concert which raised millions of dollars for the victims of the terror attack.

She also visited injured fans in the hospital prior to the benefit.
