President-elect Donald Trump has promised to allow states to keep their marijuana laws if he were elected. However, he’s also tapped some of the biggest foes of Marijuana in Washington to serve in his cabinet. This spring his pick to be the next attorney general, Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions at one point told Politico, “Good people don't smoke marijuana.” In confirmed for the position, Sessions could end up redirecting the DEA to go after legal marijuana growers in states from Maine to Alaska. Meanwhile Rep. Tom Price of Georgia, who has a long anti-marijuana voting record, has been chosen to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. And GOP Congressman Andy Harris of Maryland, who has waged his own personal war on drugs, has been rumored to be a potential pick to run the National Institutes of Health.
