Drone Racing Takes Paris By Storm

The Drone Champions League (DCL) swarmed near the Eiffel Tower on Sunday. 36 pilots navigated an obstacle course in the center of the city, dodging pillars in the tunnel under the Arc de Triomphe. 150,000 people showed up to watch the remotely controlled drones, which hit speeds of 85 mph. Unfortunately for Parisians, home street advantage didn’t help — a German took home first place. Luckily, the French will have another chance at the crown at the DCL’s next race in Austria.
