House Intelligence Committee issues subpoenas in Russia investigation
  • 7 years ago
The House Intelligence Committee issued seven subpoenas on Wednesday as it investigates Russian interference in the 2016 election. Among those issued subpoenas were Trump's former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and his company, as well as Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, and his law firm. "As part of our ongoing investigation into Russian active measures during the 2016 campaign, today we approved subpoenas for several individuals for testimony, personal documents and business records," "We hope and expect that anyone called to testify or provide documents will comply with that request, so that we may gain all the information within the scope of our investigation." Of the seven subpoenas issued, four were related to the Russian probe and three were related to "unmasking" done by Obama officials.
