Report: Manchester bomber spent 3 weeks in Libya before UK attack

The alleged Manchester bomber Salman Abedi spent three weeks in Libya before returning to the UK days before the attack, according to US military officials assigned to Africa Command. US and British intelligence services started an investigation to determine Abedi’s communications and locations during those three weeks. Officials are looking into the possibility that the bomber could have met with ISIS or al Qaeda operators, who have hundreds of active members in Libya. UK Police stated that they were investigating a “network” of suspects that might have helped Abedi plan and execute the attack.
