China’s Geely is buying a 49.9% stake in Proton. It will also be the new owner of Lotus as Proton exits the British sports car maker. Meanwhile, CIMB’s share price crosses the RM6.00 mark for the first time in more than 2 and-a-half years after the group posted record quarterly earnings.
