by Jeff DonlanA 32-turbine wind farm began generating electricity near Liverpool with what’s being called the world’s most powerful windmills. Each turbine’s blades are 262 feet long, and each turbine is 640 feet tall. An average offshore wind turbine produces about 3 megawatts of power — but these turbines produce 8 megawatts. Over 200,000 homes will be powered by this wind farm.
