Humanitarian Aid Enters Rebel-Held Eastern Damascus Suburb of Al-Dhumayr

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), alongside the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), delivered over 20 trucks containing food and other humanitarian aid to the rebel-held eastern Damascus suburb of al-Dhumayr on May 20.The aid delivery to al-Dhumayr, which is controlled by Jaish al-Islam, marked the first convoy allowed into the opposition-held town since June 2016, according to Syrian activist media reports.
