The seventh-seeded UT Arlington Mavericks scored three runs apiece in the first and third innings and added an additional five and two runs in the fifth and sixth innings en route to a 13-5 win over No. 2 seed Troy in Wednesday’s finale of the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship here at Riddle-Pace Field in Troy, Ala.
UTA senior first baseman Levi Scott led all hitters in the game with six RBI, including a grand slam in the game’s pivotal fifth inning. Scott finished the game with two hits in six at-bats, six RBI and two runs scored.
