Air Rifle Silencers Comparison, Weihrauch HW100 .22 FAC PCP Air Rifle - Comparação de Supressores
Two silencers (sound suppressors / moderators) are compared for noise reduction and influence on point of impact, grouping and muzzle velocity. 25 of the 29 shots were recorded with a digital audio recorder in order to avoid the effect from camera's filters, compressor and limiter, that turns all audio amplitude into the same. This effects can be observed in the last 4 shots.
All shots went through a chronograph, velocity and energy are showed each shot (Metric and Imperial systems).
Hardware:
Air rifle: Weihrauch HW100 T FAC .22 PCP.
Silencers: from Air Rifle, the big one is model Precision 22, the smaller has no model name.
Target distance: 32.8 yards.
Target: USBR
Pellets: H&N Baracuda Match 5,53mm 1,37g.
Audio recorder: M-Audio Microtrack 24/96 portable digital audio recorder.
Camera at silencers: Samsung S5 Mini
Camera at targets: Samsung WB350F
