2016 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year: Paul Petrino

Paul Petrino earned his first Sun Belt Coach of the Year honor after guiding the Vandals to their first bowl appearance since 2009. Petrino’s Vandals went 8-4 (6-2 in league play), this season, doubling the amount of wins they had last season. The Vandals closed out the regular season on a four-game winning streak and have lost just one of their final seven contests. Idaho takes on Colorado State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 22.
