Hunting lions take down buffalo but the whole herd fights back

Amazing footage of a herd of buffalo trying to save one of their own after it was taken down by two hunting lions.
The video, captured by Riesdah Gabier in Timbavati Reserve on Apri 9, shows the aggressive big cats deliberately targeting an injured buffalo after tracking the herd for quite some time.
After the attack, the buffalo tries furiously to free itself and, with the help of the rest of the herd, the lions eventually give up and flee.
It's not known if the animal survived long term, but it can be seen climbing to its feet at the end of the clip.
