Mike Huckabee Calls SNL’s Depiction Of Daughter Sarah Sanders ‘Sexist’

Saturday Night Live recently added Sara Huckabee Sanders to its pool of White House staff impersonations. Her father Mike Huckabee did not seem to like the portrayal.
Over the weekend, NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' added White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to its pool of Trump administration impersonations.
Aidy Bryant, playing Sanders, starts off with, "For those of you who don't know me yet, my father is Mike Huckabee and my mother is a big Southern hamburger - and yes, obviously I am hilarious like my daddy."
Sanders’ father, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, did not seem to have a positive impression of the portrayal.
In a Tuesday appearance on Varney & Co., which is broadcast on Fox Business, Huckabee called the sketch, “a little bit silly, sexist, [and] misogynist.” He continued, “my daughter is certainly capable of handling a whole lot worse than that.”
In the SNL segment, the topic of Sanders taking over White House press secretary Sean Spicer’s job was broached.
According to Huckabee, that’s not likely something his daughter is considering.
He said, “She's not trying to replace Sean Spicer, she loves Sean, respects him, works wonderfully with him and has nothing but high regard for him. So she’s happy to do what she’s doing and grateful to be in the White House and serving this president and serving her country."
