Study: Online abortion services are just as safe as clinics

Online abortion services can be an alternative to unsafe methods of ending pregnancies, according to a new study of women in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The findings, published in the British Medical Journal, were backed by research at the American University. A survey of 1,000 women who purchased abortions drugs using an online service showed that 95 percent of medical interventions were successful. The data was gathered by an online organization that issues abortion pills to women.
